The objective of this course is to deepen educators' theoretical understanding of the nature and philosophy of social studies. They will be introduced to Concept-Based Learning, Inquiry-Based Learning, and Project-Based Learning as approaches to teaching and learning social studies subjects. The course provides educators with balanced approaches to teaching and learning strategies that enable them to establish organized routines for the educational process and its management. For instance, participants will enhance their skills in planning social studies materials and lessons to support and enhance their students' achievement. They will also learn about cognitive scaffolding strategies to develop students' social studies skills. Additionally, educators will be introduced to skills and tools necessary for setting clear educational objectives and providing constructive feedback to support students' understanding of national and international issues within the framework of general approaches to social studies teaching.
