Counting and Arithmetic in Early Grades: Making Learning Fun and Engaging

This workshop aims to enrich teachers’ understanding of fundamental mathematical concepts. Participants will explore basic concepts such as counting and numerical relationships and delve into equality as a foundational concept underlying many mathematical principles. The workshop will allow significant engagement with numbers through practical activities, group discussions and interactive sessions. Teachers will gain valuable insights to deepen students’ numerical understanding and discover various methods and techniques for effectively teaching mathematical operations. Emphasis will be placed on conceptual building and problem-solving skills. Teachers will ultimately be equipped with a toolkit of strategies to help students master mathematical operations confidently.
