Empowering Educators: Queen Rania Teacher Academy's Workshops in Oman Focus on Fundamental Arabic Language Skills and Creative Writing

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 16px;"><strong>Amman - August -</strong> As part of the educational workshops organized by the Queen Rania Teacher Academy for Teachers' Training in Jordan and the Arab region last month, the academy completed training for 36 participants from Oman Academy schools. Arabic language teachers participated in a workshop titled: 'Fundamental Skills in Reading and Writing (Unlocking Reading from Sound to Image), and Specialized Arabic Language Teaching Skills (Teaching Personal Narrative Writing).</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">The first workshop, 'Unlocking Reading from Sound to Image,' aimed at developing the early childhood educators' skills for grades (-KG3) in basic Arabic language skills (reading and writing). The courses in this program are essential for shaping learners' fundamental reading skills and include two essential components in language teaching: auditory awareness and reading phonetic sounds.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">The second workshop aimed to enhance teachers' skills in writing personal narratives to help students enter the world of creative writing. Students learn that there are aspects of their lives worth writing about. Like real writers, they collect their initial writing material and ideas by reflecting on their personal experiences and real moments from their private lives. They then document these personal stories in writing, sharing them with the writing community to stimulate motivation and self-desire for longer writing times and greater written production. This contributes to developing the student's self-perception as a writer.</span></p>
