Before delving into the term ‘psychosocial support’, it is important to understand its concept. Psychosocial support refers to the dynamic interplay between an individual’s psychological and social dimensions, where each aspect influences and interacts with the other. Therefore, it is crucial for teachers to grasp this concept and develop the necessary skills to provide effective psychosocial support to students, considering their developmental characteristics. This support should be delivered in a simplified manner appropriate for the students and include the design of supportive activities tailored to their needs.
This workshop is designed to explore the unique characteristics and traits of children aged 4-9 years. It will help participants differentiate psychological needs from developmental characteristics, plan activities that foster the psychological and social development of students for optimal growth, learn about practices and applications for creating an environment that enhances psychosocial support and develop activities that enhance students’ mental health.
