The aim of this course is to deepen educators' understanding of the assessment process in social studies, including the structure of assessment strategies and the development of assessment tools. The course will encourage educators to consider how diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments can support learning. It will cover the process of asking questions and developing high-order thinking skills through questioning. Additionally, the course will delve into analyzing student work and reflecting on effective methods of correction that promote higher levels of thinking. Educators will also design lesson plans that incorporate practical teaching and learning aspects aligned with the requirements of their curriculum.
